Galli Estate has two vineyards: Heathcote, which produces the red wines (shiraz, sangiovese, nebbiolo, tempranillo, grenache and montepulciano) and the cooler climate vineyard at Plumpton in Sunbury, producing the whites (chardonnay, pinot grigio, sauvignon blanc and fiano). All wines are biodynamically estate-grown and made, with wine movements on the new moon. 50% whole bunch, 50% whole berries, natural ferment, 19 days on skins, matured for 10 months in French oak.
This release of Pinto Noir is relatively pale-coloured and fragrant pinot noir with cranberry, cherry and plum predominant. A sinewy, leafy, gently unfolding kind of pinot drying tannin and tight structure
