The Aligoté grape has been recognized and widely used in Burgundy since the 17th Century.Bourgogne Aligoté wines are generally made in stainless steel and are crisp and fresh in style, and it is this relatively high acidity.
In its sixth generation Domaine Confuron-Gindre is located in the Burgundian village of Vosne-Romanée with plots in Gevrey-Chambertin, Nuits-St-Georges and Echézeaux that total 11Ha. Owned by Claudine and Jacques Confuron, who's practices encourage the vines to work for nutrients, implementing biodiversity to the vineyards and reducing the use of herbicides. Now Jacques' son Edouard is stepping into his father's role encouraging more export of the wines and learning from the region's talent to support his father's viticulture and wine production ethos while breathing new air into the Domaine.
