About The Wine
2014 ABV 14.0% Australia Cabernet Sauvignon Heathcote VictoriaDescription
Named after the original pastoral lease which encompassed the property and situated 20Kms north of Heathcote the vineyard is on Australia's oldest soil. The rich red earth of Cambrian clay loam runs on a narrow range which incorporates Mt Camel and Mt Peasant, and coupled with the idyllic climate, we produce big fruity robustwines from our low yielding dryland vineyards.
Bricky purple in colour with a vibrant crimson hue; the nose has aromas of cedar, saddle leather, black fruits, liquorice and a touch of mint; the palate has a big mouth-feel, with acidity and berry fruits on the front tongue; luscious fine grain tannins on the finish and intense black fruits, plums and Bavarian black cherries on the middle palate.Approachable and complex, this wine sould be cellared for ultimate drinking.
