Deep Ruby Red with a purple hue.The nose dictates ripe black cherry, blackberry, clove, licorice, mulberry and stewed plum. A complex palate with intense black ripe jammy fruits upfront, including black cherry, blackcurrant, mulberry, savouriness, white pepper on the mid palate, finishing with good fruit weight and lingering big grippy tannins that coat the mouth. The wine is still very young so the tannins haven't integrated as yet, but the wine indicates great potential for aging. Swan Hill Region is low in rainfall, with abundant sunshine. It provides the vines a full, concentrated ripeness, of fruit flavours.
The wine was matured in 80% American and 20% French oak barriques (30% New barriques, 30% 2 year old and 40% 3 years old)
