Tarrawatta AB Eden Shiraz Cabernet

Planting of vineyards in the Eden Valley has been limited by the presence of shallow rock, scarcity of water for irrigation and the imposing eucalyptus trees. The result is scattered, small parcels of vines thoughtfully planted in ideal sites. The Eden Valley has rightly become recognised for producing wines of purity, complexity, and elegance from some of the oldest vines in the world, it is certainly a challenging place to grow grapes, but brilliance is often born out of adversity. Bright medium depth hue, perfumed whole bunch with a touch of stemmy forest floor complexity, almost a hint of fine boned pinot, lovely round attack in to the mouth. Bright sweet flavours with lovely balanced tannin and acidity. Sufficient tannic structure to cellar mid-term.
