Sourced from our 30+ year old dry grown vines most of our Merlot is blended into the Single Vineyard Cabernet Merlot, however by popular demand, we have begun keeping a little aside each year to release as our Limited Release Merlot. The Merlot grapes used in this wine were picked on the estate. They were plunged in open fermenters for several days, followed by several more in stainless steel tanks for malolactic fermentation. French oak barriques were used for their maturation over a nineteen month period. Prior to bottling 12% Cabernet Sauvignon was blended in to the final wine.
