Brown Brothers
-
Pinot Noir Chardonnay Pinot Meunier
NV
King Valley
Australia
Alcohol % : 12.5
Volume : 750 ml
Halliday Rating : 94
Tasting Notes:
Brown Brothers struggle to emerge from its old fashioned name and perception and connect with today's wine audience. This has nearly everything to do with a couple of sickly sweet wines that brought them recognition decades ago.
In fact the Brown Brothers range is one of the most diverse and interesting in Australia, and their best wines are far removed from the aforementioned cheap old fashioned labels.
The whole range of sparkling is nothing short of stunning.
This wine has body, richness, delicacy, excellent length, a fine bead, and tremendous depth.
James Halliday says: "Bright green-gold; a seriously good wine at this price, it has a complex web of brioche and toast around delicate but persistent citrus and stone fruit flavours; excellent acidity and dosage."
