An amber all malt beer loosely based on a recipe first used by Captain James Cook in 1773. The addition of selectively hand picked manuka from Golden Bay, New Zealand imparts a most pleasing floral aroma to the beer and flavours reminiscent of rose oil and ginger. Although fermented dry, these flavours along with manukas’ association with honey, sometimes give the perception of a slight sweetness. High in anti oxidants, no added sugars and no preservatives – this is as close as you will get to a ‘health beer’.
